•Review of maternal history and vital signs

•Assessment of fetal growth and position (via Leopold’s Maneuvers)

Leopold’s Maneuvers include:

1. Fundal Grip – to identify the fetal part in the fundus.

2. Umbilical Grip – to locate the fetal back.

3. Pawlik’s Grip – to determine the presenting part.

4. Pelvic Grip – to check fetal descent into the pelvis.

• Abdominal examination:

* measurement of fundal height monitoring.

*fetal Heart Tone monitoring.

• Counseling on maternal nutrition, warning signs, and birth preparedness.
