🔄 Let’s Talk: Loop or Horseshoe AV Grafts 💉
Did you know that loop-shaped AV grafts (also called horseshoe grafts) are commonly used for dialysis access?

Here’s a simple way to check if your graft is working well:
âś… Gently press the midpoint of your graft.
âś… Then, check both sides of the loop for:
🔊 A bruit (a whooshing sound you can hear with a stethoscope)
âś‹ A thrill (a vibration you can feel with your fingers)

💡 If you feel a thrill or hear a bruit on both sides—it’s a good sign!
âť— If one side feels weak or silent, inform our dialysis staff right away.

Dialysis can be a challenging and often discouraging journey. It’s normal to feel tired, frustrated, or even brokenhearted at times. But Psalm 34:18 reminds us that God is especially near when our spirits feel crushed.

In moments of pain or loneliness, you are not forgotten. God’s presence surrounds you, offering comfort and hope. He understands your struggles and carries your burdens with you. Lean on Him when the road feels rough, and let His closeness bring peace to your heart.

✅ Needles are usually inserted in the direction of blood flow — from artery side toward the vein side.
âś… This helps blood flow smoothly and prevents damage or clotting in your graft.
âś… Our trained staff at Vitalab Dialysis Center carefully place the needles to keep your access healthy and working well.

Living with kidney disease and undergoing dialysis can often feel exhausting, both physically and emotionally. The treatments are demanding, and sometimes the journey feels overwhelming. But in those moments of weariness, Isaiah 40:29 reminds us that God offers strength beyond our own.

When you feel weak or tired, remember that you are not alone. God’s power is made perfect in your weakness. He renews your spirit and gives you the endurance to keep going, day by day. Trust in His strength to carry you through the hard times and to help you face each treatment with courage and hope.

No matter how heavy the burden feels, God’s strength is available to you. Rest in His care and let His power be your source of comfort and resilience.
