Recovery is a journey that brings back what's truly important – the people you love and the life you deserve. ❤️

Last year 2024 , we embarked on a mission to rescue Carl, who was struggling with severe drug addiction in Mindanao. His mother and wife had reached out for help, desperate for him to get the treatment he needed.

With our dedicated rescue team, we successfully brought Carl to Safehaven here in Cebu.

Through Christ centered and humane approach, Carl gained profound insights and transformation.

Today, he's not only prioritizing his recovery and most specially his family but with a renewed commitment, Carl has promised to leave drugs behind, embracing a life of purpose.

He's now a passionate advocate for Safehaven and the Battle Against Ignorance Foundation, inspiring others with his story.❤️

November 11, 2019, leaving behind his loving wife and children in Masbate to seek treatment in Cebu City wasn't easy, but Mark knew it was necessary.

Unlike many struggling with addiction who are often in denial, Mark had hit rock bottom and was determined not to lose the people he cherished most – his family.❤️

Upon arriving at Safehaven Recovery Village, Mark faced emotional challenges, missing his family deeply. However, the Christ-centered, humane approach provided him with the strength and resolve to persevere 🙏. After months of dedicated effort in the program, the day came for Mark to return home to Masbate.

With a renewed promise to himself and his family, he vowed to live a sober, fulfilling life.

Its been 6 years since Mark went back home to Masbate and today, Mark's transformation is truly inspiring, he is not only sober and living a much happier and serene life with his wife and children but he's also currently working as a Radiologic Technologist.

Mark's story is a powerful testament to the life-changing impact of recovery.💪❤️

Meet Borgie, a powerful testament to Safehaven's life-changing work ❤️

In 2019, he took his first steps toward recovery with us, initially hesitant and struggling with denial. But through our compassionate, non-judgmental care, Borgie completed the treatment program and is now really doing good in life , clean and sober surrounded by his loving wife and children.

Today, Borgie gives back as one of Safehaven's dedicated recovery coaches, inspiring others with his journey 🌟.

His story is a beacon of HOPE – from the depths of addiction to a life of purpose and joy ✨.

Recently, Borgie celebrated 6 incredible years of sobriety (August 2025) and received a brand new motorcycle as a gift – a symbol of his hard-earned freedom and new beginnings 🛵.

While Sir Ronnie Delos Santos, Safehaven's President, is in Bali, Indonesia attending a prestigious convention for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime through ISSUP and PASS ( Philippine Addiction Specialist Society) , Safehaven Director Emmanuel Llenos is in Manila joining a remarkably insightful convention with esteemed Doctors and fellow advocates
living from different parts of the country at the PCAM (Philippine College of Addiction Medicine).

We at Safehaven firmly believes that through continous education we gained more knowledge for us to be able to help more and also an oppprtunity as well for us to share our best practices not only as a treatment facility devoted to helping the lost and broken, but as individuals centered in Christ.🙏❤️

Si Perbin ay literal na nakaranas ng mga hallucinations dahil sa paggamit ng shabu. Noong iniligtas sya ng rescue team noong 2020, siya ay talagang malayo sa kanyang dating sarili – payat at nawalan ng pagkatao. Mula sa pagiging magaling na varsity basketball player, si Perbin ay literal na nawala sa buhay dahil sa pagkagumon sa shabu.

Sa Safehaven, sumailalim siya sa treatment at rehabilitation sa pamamagitan ng Christ-Centered humane approach 💖

Matapos makumpleto ni Perbin ang kanyang programa, nag-volunteer siya sa kusina – at hanggang ngayon (Setyembre 17, 2025), si Perbin ay hindi lamang 5 taong sober kundi nagtatrabaho narin bilang regular na kitchen staff sa Safehaven

Hindi lang iyon, nakabalik na siya sa paglalaro ng larong mahal niya at kamakailan lang ay nanood pa siya ng basketball game ng kanyang mga paboritong paaralan dito sa Cebu – ang exhibition match sa pagitan ng UC at UV, ang paaralan kung saan siya dating naglalaro ng basketball.

Si Perbin ay tunay na isang halimbawa ng PAG-ASA 🙏❤️

Kuya Berta's dream of riding a plane has come true! ✈️ Twenty years ago, living on the streets, he might never have imagined soaring through the skies as an invited speaker – yet with God, possibilities are boundless.

Last sunday ( September 14,2025) he flew to Dumaguete as an invited resource speaker alongside Safehaven Recovery Coach Bop Buenaventura.

Kuya Berta’s journey warms our hearts – it's a beautiful testament that faith and perseverance can turn dreams into breathtaking realities!

We remember 2020 when our rescue team, with the help of Anton Camilo, found him on Mango Avenue Cebu City and brought him to Safehaven for healing and rehabilitation.

And look at him now! After completing his treatment, Kuya Berta joined our Safehaven family as an admin staff, and for years he's been blessing countless schools, barangays, and companies as a powerful resource speaker.

We're so proud of you, Kuya Berta!!!❤️

Another lost soul suffering from drug addiction saved today ( September 14,2025) in Sindulan Mabolo, Cebu City.

His parents and siblings were so desperate for help because their loved one who has become unmanageable to the point that he would steal , lie and do anything just to get high from drugs.

A good man turned bad due to severe addiction.

The family is so thankful that the rescue team responded asap and brought their loved one to Safehaven for treatment and rehabilitation.
