Excited to introduce one of my current favorites, the Pothos. For a baby plantita, this one is magical because itβs a very forgiving plant, taking care of itself as it trails off, from baby leaves to giant beauties. ππ
The alternative name βDevilβs Ivyβ for the Pothos (Epipremnum aureum) likely originates from its resilience and adaptability. Despite challenging conditions, this plant tends to thrive and is difficult to kill, earning it a reputation for being βdevilishlyβ hardy. Additionally, the cascading vines of Pothos are known for their vigorous growth, resembling a lush green waterfall, which might have contributed to the ivy association in the name. While the name suggests a certain robustness, itβs important to note that the plant is more of a blessing than a curse, especially for those who appreciate easy-care and aesthetically pleasing houseplants. πͺβ¨
