Our hearts go out to all who have been greatly affected by typhoon Tino.

To our valued partners, our Lusaran farm was not spared by the harsh effects of Tino as can be seen by our post harvest facility having been completely destroyed.

However, there is much light amidst the darkness as we've been able to see how Arka's entire system has enhanced our beloved community's resilience even after facing nature's wrath.

The day after Tino ravaged Cebu, our community was able to continue most livelihood activities - from farming to harvesting of produce and eggs while of course undergoing some repair operations as needed.

We are eternally grateful for being able to continue providing much needed produce to our valued partners so they are able to continue feeding their valued patrons even after such a destructive typhoon.

Arka Inc. is honored to be part of the co-design of a project focused on scaling up the uptake of good agricultural and aquaculture practices in the Philippines.

This collaborative initiative brings together key institutions — UP Mindanao, the University of Western Australia, the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR), and PCAARRD–DOST — in advancing sustainable agri and aquaculture systems for the country.

For the past three years, the Arka Team, together with Engr. Harold Olimba, Agri Expert Don Traje, Engr. Jonathan, and our dedicated farmer community at Sitio Laguna Agri Cooperative at Arka Farm Villages, has been working to successfully grow the American lemon here in Cebu.

After years of hard work and collaboration, we have now proven the full “seed-to-cup” journey of the American lemon — proudly grown and produced locally.

We’re excited to introduce it as the Cebu Lemon — a testament to local innovation, perseverance, and agricultural excellence. 🍋💚
