Cebu City Sports Commissioner and Cebu Fest Chairman Brian Lim said,
“We regret to inform you that Sportsfest 2012 will be postponed to
April of next year. As much as the committee is dedicated to making
the event materialize, we don't want to press on if we can’t guarantee
our sports organizers with quality support, marketing, transportation,
support services, etc. Thank you for your kind understanding.”
Lim stressed that the call for interested sports organizations to sign
up to be included in the official lineup of activities for next year
is till on. “We welcome more sports groups that may want to join.
Naturally the sporting organizations that already expressed support
will continue to prepare for next year’s activities.’”

Although this year’s Cebu Sports Fest is skipped to next year, Lim

years for it to become the most successful festival it is today. Cebu
Fest is an event that offers great opportunities. We just need to
give it time to evolve.”
