Pagbangon: Rebuilding Routines, Restoring Peace โค๏ธ๐Ÿซ‚

Sa panahon sa katalagman, ang kaugalingon ang saligan โ€” survival becomes instinct. Atong nahinumduman sa linog kung unsa ka-importante ang andam nga huna-huna ug kalma nga buhat. Bisan sa kakulba, nakita nato ang kusog sa matag usa.

Pagkahuman sa linog, daghan pangutana โ€” Unsaโ€™y sunod? Kinsa ang naapektuhan? Asa magsugod? This debriefing helps us reflect, learn, and prepare better. Together, we recover stronger โ€” mas andam, mas lig-on, ug mas nagkahiusa.

A little throwback to one of our memorable Therapeutic Skills Activities.

Our SWU PHINMA Occupational Therapy students took the lead in creating an unforgettable fine dining experience - planning, preparing, and executing the entire process. Through this immersive activity, they were able to better understand their patients' perspectives, particularly in relation to work, meal preparation, and setup. This hands-on experience provides invaluable insights into the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities, whether acquired or congenital, when engaging in daily occupations.

The specific cooking equipment and sophisticated setting available at the SWU PHINMA Maroon Lodge, in collaboration with SWU PHINMA B-School (Business School โ€“ Hotel and Restaurant Management), are crucial in achieving the level of realism and effectiveness needed for this training.

The result? Students gain practical, applicable knowledge to improve their future practice and the quality of Occupational Therapy patient care.
