We would like to address the false information circulating about payments for health services at Bantayan Rural Health Unit.

Please be informed that Bantayan Rural Health Unit has never charged, and will never charge, for referrals, consultations, or medicines. These services have always been and will continue to be completely free.

However, we do have charges for selected laboratory services, but only for patients who do not qualify for free labs. The following groups are eligible for FREE selected laboratory services:

-Persons with disabilities (PWDs)
-Senior citizens (aged 60+)
-PhilHealth Konsulta members

For all other patients, fees will apply to certain laboratory services.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Amon klarohon nga ang Bantayan Rural Health Unit wa gayud sukad manokot sang bayad kag dili mahitabo nga mangayo sang bayad sa mga referrals, konsulta kag labi na gayud sa mga byong kay tanang serbisyo sa aton RHU magpadayon nga way bayranan.

Hinoon, aray pipila ka mga laboratory services nga aray bayad pero para lang sadtong mga tawo nga dili kwalipikado sa libreng lab test.

Amo ini ang malibre sa mga laboratory services:

11 year-old patient walked in with a foreign body (Amor-seco) embedded in the cornea.

The Amor-seco is a plant, native to the Philippines and is found throughout the country in open places at low and medium altitudes.

Foreign objects are matters that pe*****te the cornea such as branches, makeup brushes, dirt, sand, metal or glass. Objects that pe*****te beneath the outer epithelial layer of the cornea, may increase risk for permanent corneal scarring.
The after math of a corneal injury can range from simple to complex. A superficial abrasion rarely leads to permanent vision loss, but doesn’t rule out the possibility.

If you encounter a case similar to this, make sure you do NOT rub your eye until professional attention has been notified of the injury.
