Story time...
It is literally an overwhelming feeling everytime nga naa koy matabangan nga cliente hilabi na dili lalim mahospital karong panahona. As I promised to them nga sugod nga nisalig ka nako, "in sickness and health" mu-assist jud ko ninyo. Tood man kani na case is something to ponder. I have already experienced heartaches sa HMO(Individual) kay once ang imoha plan dili pa makagraduate sa contestability period, any Pre-existing conditions kay dili jud na sila mo covered. That is the hard truth here in Philippines.
To this case, si client kay wala pa naka 1yr ug bayad it means naa pa sya sa contestability period but upon diagnosis, the illness was not a pre-existing which is Acute Suppurative Appendicitis. Needed na dayon operahan and a bit delayed na kay on-leave ang Liaison wala na assist, with my assistance nahatagan ra dayon ug LOA ang hospital (THANK YOU LORD).
Upon discharge, Medicard sent an updated LOA which covers those within the inner limits and THANKS GOD dako2 ang g.cover sa iyaha HMO. Also, thank you Philhealth kay almost 50k ang imoha.
This is not just a wake-up call to me and my client's daughter, this incident made us deepened our understanding and realization how truly important that we need to have a back-up plans. Not just plan A but all the letters in the alphabet.
I truly amaze jud nimu Ms. Mhy. Your love to your family is indeed unconditional. Daghang salamat sa imohang patience ug pagsabot sa situation. 😇
