Various barangay activities have been lined up to raise awareness about nutrition and encourage them to stay healthy.

One of these activities was the nutrition-themed costume contest for pre-school pupils. The students were attired as fruits,vegetables and made out of recycled materials showing off so much creativity. They, together with their parents walked into the stage proudly flaunted their outfits. Not only did the students enjoy the activity but also learned an important lesson that fruits and vegetables are necessary in strengthening the body's immune system.

Thank you to our Brgy. Captain Nelson F. Vivit, the Brgy. Council, to our panel board of judges headed by Federated BNS President Junette Ponce, and to our parents/guardians of our day care pupils for their endless support in nutrition programmes.

Barangay Nutrition Committee of Cabaroan Laud continues to advocate for health and wellness through its Healthy Baon Contest held today July 14, 2025, in line with the celebration of Nutrition Month 2025 with the theme "Food at Nutrition Security Maging Priority, Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!"

Day Care Pupils of Cabaroan Laud, together with the full support of our Dear Parents showcased their creativity and knowledge in preparing nutritious, balanced baon/snack using affordable and locally available ingredients.

This activity did not only promote healthy eating habits but also empowered kids to make informed food choices and embrace the value of food security and nutrition in their daily lives.

A big thanks to our Judges headed by Maam Irish Agueran, Brgy. Captain Nelson Vivit, Bgry. Council Committee on Health Joselito Rodriguez, and Ms. Marie Francia Apelin. ❤️🫶

Dengue Awareness Campaign

As we conclude Dengue Awareness Month in June, the Barangay Nutrition Council, with the help of our Brgy. Captain Nelson F. Vivit organised a series of community-wide initiatives to raise awareness and promote prevention.

The following actions were successfully completed:
**A motorcade was organised around the barangay to herald the start of the campaign and raise awareness.
**Simultaneous Clean-Up Drive and Oplan Taob, in collaboration with barangay officials and community volunteers, eradicate mosquito breeding grounds.

These programs demonstrate Brgy's steadfast dedication. BNC applauds efforts to combat dengue fever and ensure the health and safety of our community members. 💪🦟

"Your Protection, Our Priority – Dengue Awareness"

Even during the dry season, dengue fever is fairly common these days. We therefore urge everyone to fortify "𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘆" in order to stop the abrupt rise in dengue cases. Therefore, raising awareness of this illness needs to be a top priority.

Together with the City of Vigan, we at Barangay Cabaroan Laud raise awareness and educate people about preventing dengue cases in our community.

Let's work together to transform our barangay into a DENGUE-FREE neighbourhood🤝👊💪👍
