Marketing Initiative of the Year and Primary Care of the Year at the Healthcare Asia Awards The Medical City (TMC) Clark is a 100-bed hospital located at the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga and is the region’s staging area for the delivery of cutting-edge healthcare services. The Medical City is composed of one flagship complex, four provincial hospitals and over 50 clinics in Metro Manila and in select provinces in the Philippines. The main healthcare complex is located along Ortigas Avenue in Pasig City, Metro Manila while the four provincial hospitals are strategically situated in Clark, Iloilo, Laguna and Pangasinan. TMC has taken its brand into the global area through the ownership and operations of Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC), the fist and only private hospital in Guam. It was the maiden infrastructure that was established within the Sabah Al-Ahmad Global Gateway Logistics City which is now known as Clark Global City. Situated next to the Clark International Airport, TMC Clark provides an excellent platform for building an international customer base. Today, it is the official medical facility and trauma center of Clark International Airport and houses a burn unit, the region’s first and only specialized surgical facility designed to provide comprehensive and multidisciplinary care for victims of burn injuries. Presently, TMC Clark is gearing to become the Referral Center of not only Central Luzon but of Northern as well. This is because TMC Clark has the capabilities and expertise to serve complicated and complex cases. This means that patients will no longer have to travel to Manila just to avail of these services. TMC Clark offers more than just general hospital services like laboratory or radiology services. It offers a more comprehensive and patient-centered set of specialty centers like the Cardiovascular Center, Breast Center and Center for Occupational Health. Ultimately, the goal is for TMC Clark to complement and supplement the healthcare capabilities of existing and nearby hospitals. What makes TMC Clark stand out is that it has a Hybrid Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab), currently the first and only facility of its kind in North and Central Luzon. The Hybrid Cath Lab is a state-of-the-art suite that brings together the traditional diagnostic functions of a full catheterization laboratory and the surgical functions of an operating room into one flexible space. TMC Clark has a full complement of top quality diagnostic, treatment, and rehabilitation services. The world-class facility is the staging area for the delivery of cutting-edge healthcare services, with flagship programs like Kidney Health and Transplantation, Minimally Invasive Surgery, and Wellness and Aesthetics. It also offers a full range of special medical and surgical services to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment for healthcare needs. These special services include intensive and maternal care, molecular laboratory, level 3 blood bank and transfusions services, genomics and nutrient tests, rehabilitation and physical medicine, endoscopy services and sleep test. TMC Clark offers state-of-the-art technology that is at par with other medical tourism destinations and expert care from the hospital’s highly skilled professional staff committed to healing and to the highest quality patient care. TMC Clark has an extensive list of board certified physicians in a variety of specialties and sub-specialties. In celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Medical City Clark successfully organized “Queng Salu Mu: In Every Step, A Story of Strength.”

“Queng Salu Mu,” a Kapampangan phrase meaning “Sa Iyong Dibdib” in Tagalog and “In One’s Breast” in English, embodies courage, compassion, and care — values that resonate deeply in the fight against breast cancer. It reminds us that within every breast lies not only vulnerability, but also strength, resilience, and the courage to keep fighting.

On October 29, in partnership with Clark Global City, Global Gateway Development Corp, and West Aeropark, participants took part in our Pink Walk and lay forum, entitled “Breast Cancer Uncovered: What Every Woman Should Know,” led by Dr. Citarose Louise A. Alfonso, MD, MBA, Surgery Resident of The Medical City Clark. The forum aimed to empower everyone with knowledge and encourage proactive breast care.
