The Guidance and Counseling Section kicked off its first Mini Talk Series this morning with great success. The session was led by Ms. Rhogen Yve Y. Evangelio, RPm, a founding member of The Mind Lab Davao de Oro Organization, who inspired participants with a powerful reminder: the love you deserve most starts with yourself. Self-love is key!

The talk was attended by around 500 participants, including DDOSC students and guests from Mind Lab Davao de Oro.

The GCS invites all DDOSC students to join us tomorrow for another exciting Mini Talk Series. Don’t miss it, see you there!

We are pleased to inform you that the first edition of the 𝗚𝗮𝗕𝗔𝗜 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 is now available online in Flipbook format. This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance accessibility and ensure that valuable information reaches a wider audience.
"𝗚𝗮𝗕𝗔𝗜," the 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 of the 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲, embodies the essence of support and care. The title combines the Filipino word "𝙜𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙮," meaning to guide or help, with "𝙗𝙖𝙞," a Visayan term used for a dear friend, signifying closeness and trust. Together, it reflects the section’s mission to provide guidance and assistance in a friendly, approachable manner.
This newsletter aims to bridge the connection between the Guidance and Testing Office and the community it serves. This month is about raising awareness and supporting those who might be struggling. Let’s be there for each other and show that 𝑎𝑠𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝘩𝑒𝑙𝑝 𝑖𝑠 𝑜𝑘𝑎𝑦.
There are people who 𝑐𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑦𝑜𝑢 and 𝑤𝑎𝑛𝑡 𝑡𝑜 𝘩𝑒𝑙𝑝. 🫂
By 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑜𝑔𝑒𝑡𝘩𝑒𝑟, we can make sure everyone feels 𝑣𝑎𝑙𝑢𝑒𝑑 and 𝘩𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑑. We all have a role in preventing su***de and offering support.

The peer facilitators from all around the three campuses of Davao de Oro State College will be having a Peer Jamboree this upcoming February 2-3, 2024.

This will serve as an opportunity for the 1st year to 3rd year students who want to experience and gain a deeper understanding of mental health awareness, self-care, and peer counseling.

Additionally, registration and food are free. All you have to do is to prepare yourself for the exciting adventure!

However, due to the limited slots available, we will be only selecting those individuals who are willing to take part in this wonderful journey and who are eager enough to become one of the Circle of Mental Health Advocates.
