As of May 15, 2022, Philippines maintained 53, 934 active cases in which 48, 842 are mild cases, 1,417 severe cases and 298 critical cases. The Philippines have 3,549,735 recoveries and 56,351 deaths noted.

What are the recommendations for someone who has symptoms of COVID-19?

- Stay at home (except to get tested or to get medical care).
- Wear a well-fitting mask around other people for 10 days.
- Do not travel for 10 days.
- Separate yourself from others.
- Monitor your symptoms.
- Cover your coughs and sneezes.
- Wash your hands often.
- Clean surfaces in your home regularly.
- Avoid sharing personal household items.

As of May 05, 2022, Philippines have 53, 934 active cases in which 48, 842 are mild cases, 1,417 severe cases and 298 critical cases. The Philippines have 3,549,735 recoveries and 56, 351 deaths noted.

The following are the essential steps in order to protect yourself from COVID-19 Virus:
1. Get vaccinated against COVID-19
2. Wear a face mask as recommended
3. Practice social distancing—stay 6 feet apart
4. Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
5. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
6. Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue
7. Clean and disinfect objects and surfaces
8. Avoid close contact with people who are sick and stay home if you are sick

Do the COVID-19 vaccines work against the new variants?

Experts from all across the globe are examining how the new variations alter the virus's behavior, as well as any possible impact on the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccinations.

In the meantime, the most important thing to do is get vaccinated and continue to take steps to prevent the virus from spreading – which helps to reduce the virus's chances of mutating – such as physical separation, mask wear, good ventilation, regular handwashing, and seeking medical attention as soon as symptoms appear.

As of March 6, 2022, The Philippines recorded 870 new cases,1,433 new recoveries and 144 deaths. Almost 91.3% of the active cases are mild and asymptomatic cases!

The easiest approach to prevent catching virus is to avoid coming into contact with an infected person. There are steps that may be taken on a daily basis to assist avoid the spread of respiratory infections. It includes washing your hands, cover your mouth and nose and get the COVID-19 vaccine.
