This activity aims to enhance the skills of our responders in managing multiple victims, strengthening teamwork, and improving familiarity with rescue equipment. This initiative reflects the commitment of the CDRRMO in advocating strong collaboration among response agencies, especially during emergencies and disaster situations.

With this additional water asset, our responders are now better equipped to conduct faster and more efficient rescue and response operations. May this serve as a symbol of unity, preparedness, and shared responsibility in protecting our communities.

Successful 1st Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2026 conducted in the city, led by the CDRRMO together with partner agencies: OCD-BAR, City Health Office, Public Safety Office, CTTMC, BFP Cotabato Station, PNP, PCG, 549th Engineering Battalion PA, and Red Cross Cotabato Chapter.

The activity was actively participated in by AMA College of Cotabato, Albert Einstein School, and partner CSO the Cotabato Light and Power Company Inc. demonstrating our shared commitment to disaster preparedness and strengthening disaster-ready awareness in the community.

The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) conducted a Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) on several huge abandoned and high-risk trees located in Barangay Poblacion 6 and Barangay Poblacion 7.

The assessment was carried out to determine potential hazards posed by these trees, especially during strong winds and heavy rainfall, which may threaten nearby houses, establishments, pedestrians, and motorists.

This proactive measure aims to ensure public safety and disaster risk prevention by identifying trees that may require pruning, cutting, or immediate intervention by concerned offices.

The CDRRMO continues to closely coordinate with the barangay officials and concerned agencies to address the situation and implement appropriate actions.
