In line with the Rabies Awareness Month Celebration, the Cuyapo Animal Bite Treatment Center is reopening its doors to effectively serve animal bite cases, not only in Cuyapo but also in neighboring towns. And none of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of our Municipal Mayor Hon. Flor Paguio Esteban!
Mahalagang paalala rin ang ang kahalagahan ng Responsible Pet Ownership, dahil sa tamang pag aalaga ng ating mga aso’t pusa, napoprotektahan din natin ang ating komunidad kontra rabies.
Pet owners play a vital role in keeping rabies at bay.
Here are a few reminders on how we can practice Responsible Pet Ownership:
1️⃣ Keep your pets updated with vaccinations: Ensure that your furry companions receive their anti-rabies vaccines regularly. This goes a long way in preventing the spread of this deadly virus.
2️⃣ Provide proper shelter and nutrition: Make sure your pets have a safe and comfortable space to call their own. Provide them with nutritious food and clean water to keep them healthy and strong.
3️⃣ Regular veterinary check-ups: Just like humans, animals also need regular health check-ups. Schedule visits with your trusted veterinarian to monitor your pet's overall well-being and address any health concerns promptly.
4️⃣ Leash your dogs and cats: Whenever you take your pets out for a walk, keep them on a leash or in a secure carrier. This not only ensures their safety but also minimizes the risk of them getting into fights or encountering stray animals that may carry diseases.
5️⃣ Sterilize or neuter your pets: Spaying or neutering your pets not only helps control the pet population but also reduces their chances of developing certain diseases or behavioral issues.
