Tiniyak ng Department of Health (DOH) na mababa ang posibilidad ng Nipah virus outbreak sa bansa dahil sa mababang transmission rate nito.

Ito ay kasunod ng mga ulat ng kumpirmadong kaso ng naturang virus sa India.

Ayon sa DOH, hindi na bago sa Pilipinas ang Nipah virus matapos itong maitala sa Sultan Kudarat noong 2014 ngunit na-contain din.

Narito ang mga sintomas na dapat bantayan sa naturang sakit.
