𝐇𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐲 𝐋𝐨𝐥𝐨 𝐚𝐭 𝐋𝐨𝐥𝐚

The Rotary Club of Daet North brought magic to around fifty (50) Senior Citizens of Barangay 8, Daet, Camarines Norte and distributed wheelchairs to two (2) elderly patients during last Saturday’s Kick-off project for Magical Rotary Year held at the Barangay Hall of the said community.

Led by Magical President Joshua de Leon, packs of rice and noodles were distributed to the beneficiaries and after which they were treated to rice porridge with egg and paired with Malunggay pandesal.

The seniors expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the club and to RI D3820 District Governor Arnold Mendoza for focusing on them and including them in the Governor’s Challenge this Rotary Year.

The Club, on the other hand, was happy to serve these elderly people, in recognition of their role in nurturing their families during their prime.

Congratulations 𝐑𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐚𝐞𝐭 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 for being in the 𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝟐𝟎 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐈 𝐃𝟑𝟖𝟐𝟎 with Governor’s Citation for Excellent Service and Hope Creating President 𝐀𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐎𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧 for earning the 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐫’𝐬 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 during the District Recognition and Awarding Ceremonies (DRAC) held last June 15, 2024.

RCDN is truly blessed to be back-to-back top honorees for two consecutive years and it remains hopeful that the Magic of Rotary Year will be as, if not more, productive and fruitful in service.

RCDN wishes its Magical President, Joshua S. De Leon, good luck and God speed for RY 2024-2025. The Club stands solid behind you, Pres. Josh, as we enter another year of Service Above Self.

The Rotary Club of Daet North’s President-Elect, Joshua De Leon, Secretary-Elect Yssa Abanes and Club Learning Facilitator Marisa Panotes, attended yesterday’s District 3820 Presidents-Elects, Secretaries-Elect and Club Learning Facilitators’ Training (PESECTS) at South Peak Garden & Events Place, Banaba, Batangas, under the leadership of DGE Arnold Mendoza for Magical Rotary Year.

The three incoming officers were given their Certificates of Completion after they were briefed on the duties and responsibilities of their respective positions.

The Club wishes PE Joshua the best as he prepares for his term and assures him of the full support of the members for his plans and visions for Rotary Year 2024-2025!

𝐈𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧

What started out as a dream during the Imagine Rotary year, with our Immediate Past District Governor Gina GS Sy envisioning a child development center in a remote area for the underprivileged school children of Camarines Norte, has now become a reality with the completion of construction and turnover of the day care center in Bgy. Lidong, Municipality of Basud.

On March 19, 2024, IPDG Gina led the formal turnover of the day care center to Barangay Lidong, assisted by the Rotary Club of Daet North’s Hope Creating President Agnes D Obusan and Genuine Service President Marisa Panotes, and joined by RCDN Vice President Fe Micor, Past Presidents Myrna D. Deligero and Evelyn De Leon, PE Joshua De Leon, Rotarians Jorge Palma, Mutya Montenegro, Engr. Allan Obusan and Edna Perpetua. Rotarian Edna served as host of the turnover ceremonies.

RCDN and IPDG Gina likewise distributed school supplies to the pre-schoolers consisting of school bags, pad papers, crayons and colouring pens, scissors, water bottle and umbrellas. The umbrellas were requested by day care center aide Christy Fuentes for the children as some had to walk a mile away in the heat of the sun just to attend pre-school.

The Punong Barangay of Lidong expressed gratitude to District 3820 headed by IPDG Gina, the Korean Partners and the Rotary Club of Daet North for providing a day care center to their community as their former structure was a shabby and dilapidated structure, with no adequate toilet.

The parents were also very thankful for the newly-built center which will provide a more conducive environment to learning for the pre-schoolers and promised to take care of the center for the benefit future generations.

Truly, hope has been planted for the pre-schoolers of Camarines Norte with this milestone.

𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞

The Rotary Club of Daet North joined the Leader Presidents of District 3780 in sowing hope to fisherfolks, school children and residents of three (3) remote islands in the Municipality of Mercedes and three barangays in Daet, Camarines Norte, last February 26, 2024

Dubbed as “𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐚-𝐁𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧,” several fishermen from the islands of Caringo, Quinapaguian and Apuao were given livelihood assistance with the donation of banca that they can use for fishing.

On the other hand, Jetmatic pumps and toilet bowls were also distributed in Quinapaguian, Mercedes, as part of Rotary’s advocacy in water and sanitation.

Lastly, school children of three barangays in Daet were given school supplies and hygiene kits as support to child health.

The project was facilitated by CamNorte Vice Governor Joseph Ascutia from the Rotary Club of Balintawak and participated in by the five (5) clubs in Camarines Norte.

Hope Creating President Agnes D Obusan was joined by Past Presidents Myrna D. Deligero, Niña O. De Los Reyes and Rotarians Mutya Montenegro, Engr. Allan Obusan and Edna Perpetua in the distribution of banca and school supplies.
