Mataas ang panganib lalo na kung ikaw ay may edad na (35 pataas), obese o overweight, hindi aktibo sa pisikal, may family history ng sakit, o may prediabetes.

Kung wala kang nararamdamang sintomas ng diabetes ngunit meron kang risk, makabubuting komunsulta sa doctor ng diabetes upang maagapan at maiwasan ang pagkakaroon ng mga komplikasyon.

Ang Diabetes ay hindi lang namamana, kundi ito ay nakukuha din sa ating paligid.
Ang pagkain ng mga pagkaing mataas sa carbohydrates, asukal at taba ay makakapag-taas ng asukal sa ating dugo.

Nakukuha rin ito kapag ikaw ay stress, walang ehersisyo, mataas ang timbang,walang sapat na tulog o may sakit.

Kaya kung ikaw ay may nakakaramdaman, o at risk ka na sa pagkakaroon ng diabetes, magpakonsulta agad sa iyong doktor upang maiwasan ang diabetes at ag mga komplikasyon nito.
