There’s something special about unboxing new toys—especially when they’re Montessori materials that help me support your child’s development.

I’m excited to share our newest addition: a set of wooden puzzles that start simple and gradually get more challenging. We begin with a single shape, then move to three different shapes, and finally to three sizes of the same shape.

Each level builds on the last, helping your child grow step by step—a concept called scaffolding. It’s all about giving just enough challenge to help them learn confidently and independently.

These aren’t just toys—they’re tools I use to check your child’s milestones through purposeful play. And the best part? Watching their little faces light up when they succeed! 💛

💉💬 Flu shots and catching up with Zoey

Now that she’s 4, I only see Zoey once a year for her flu shot—but these visits are more than just vaccines. It’s also a chance to check on her growth and development, and catch up on her milestones.

This year? She just finished her voice lessons and recital! 🌟

Flu shots keep kids healthy, but moments like these keep us connected. 💗

✨ Practicing Patience and Precision ✨

Here’s Elliana, 1 year and 10 months old, working on her fine motor skills using the Montessori-inspired object permanence box. 💪🧠

At this stage, children are naturally curious and eager to explore. This simple yet purposeful activity helps develop hand-eye coordination, concentration, and problem-solving skills.

🎥 In the middle of the video, you’ll notice Elliana struggling a bit to insert the coin. Instead of taking over or guiding her hand, I simply repositioned the box—adjusting the activity to meet her at her current skill level.

🔑 The goal is to make it challenging enough to encourage effort, but not so hard that it leads to frustration.

Let your child lead. Observe, adjust, support—but don’t rush

HOW WE CHECK YOUR CHILD’S DEVELOPMENT AT THE CLINIC

👩🏻‍⚕️When it comes to checking a child’s development, we believe the best way is to see it in action.

At our pediatric clinic, we don’t just rely on questionnaires or parent reports. While those are helpful, we find that playing with the child and observing how they interact in real-time gives us much more accurate and meaningful information.

📋Here’s what we do:

- We play with your child and see how they explore, communicate, and respond.
- We ask moms and dads to join in — your interaction reveals so much about how your child is developing.
- We observe quietly and attentively. We can already pick up so many clues just by watching.

👶Developmental surveillance doesn’t have to be stiff or formal. In fact, the most reliable assessments happen when children feel safe, seen, and free to be themselves.

In this video, Shaun is 1 year and 2 months old.

PARENTS: LET’S TALK ABOUT INFANT WALKERS

Hello moms and dads! Today, let’s talk about infant walkers 👶🛴. A lot of parents use them to keep their babies busy while doing chores 🧺, to help during feeding time 🍼, to keep their little one calm and happy 😊, or because they think it helps their baby walk earlier 🚶‍♀️. It sounds helpful, right?

But here’s the thing—walkers can actually give us a false sense of safety ⚠️. Instead of helping, they might cause accidents 🤕 and can even slow down your baby’s ability to learn how to walk on their own 🐢. In this video, we’ll explain why that happens and share better, safer ways to support your baby’s development ✅.

ENCOURAGING INDEPENDENCE IN OUR LITTLE ONES👶🌈💘

It’s so tempting to jump in and help when our kids struggle with little tasks like tying their shoes or putting on their clothes. But giving them the space to do things on their own, even if it takes a little longer, helps build CONFIDENCE and INDEPENDENCE.

Dr. Maria Montessori beautifully reminds us that independence is the foundation of human dignity. So let’s celebrate those small wins and cheer them on as they figure things out. It may take patience, but the REWARD is a child who believes in their own abilities!

At around 6 months old, babies start showing signs that they're ready for solids!

Here are some key milestones to watch for:

✅ Sitting up without support and steady head control
✅ Pushing up on straight arms when lying on their tummy
✅ Swallowing puréed food without pushing it out with their tongue (extrusion reflex fades)
✅ Bringing hands and toys to their mouth to explore textures
✅ Showing hunger by opening their mouth and leaning forward, or fullness by turning away

Not sure if your baby is ready? Talk to your pediatrician before starting solids! 💕

🗂️WELLNESS CHECK-UP SCHEDULE FOR CHILDREN

Hello Daddies and Mommies💕

We all know that looking out for our kiddos is a top priority in this parenting adventure. When they're feeling under the weather, we're quick to seek medical help. But you know what often gets overlooked? Those regular check-ups that keep things in check. 📋

Think of wellness check-ups as the preventive healthcare for our little ones. By scheduling regular visits, parents and healthcare providers can detect potential health issues before they escalate. So, let's not forget to pencil in those check-ups on our parenting to-do list. 👶👩‍⚕️
