The Region 1 Medical Center–Department of Dermatology will be hosting a program in observance of World Psoriasis Day 2025 on October 9, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the FQD Hall, Region 1 Medical Center.

This year’s theme, “Psoriatic Disease and Comorbidities – Understanding the Domino Effect,” emphasizes the need for greater awareness and a multidisciplinary approach in addressing psoriatic disease and its associated conditions.

GAD Corner | The Region 1 Medical Center Blood Bank - National Voluntary Blood Services Program, in collaboration with the Gender and Development Program, conducted an informative seminar about "Rational Use of Blood and Blood Products" this September 25, 2025 at the Francisco Q. Duque Conference Hall, attended by various doctors, nurses and medical technologists of Region 1 Medical Center and Other Institution.
Dr. Melanie Victoria G. Dar-Joseph, a Pediatric Consultant-Hematology and Oncology and Dr. Reynaldo R. Espinoza, an Internal Medicine – Adult Hematologist are the resource speakers of the event, narrowed the discussion on evidence-based blood transfusion practices, including the clinical relevance of correct usage of blood and blood products.
This is essential to optimize patient outcomes and patient safety by ensuring appropriate requisition and transfusion.
