Congratulations to Dr. Maricor Gin O. Edma, 2nd-year resident, together with her co-authors Dr. Ezra Viktoria R. Haduca; Dr. Nica Minerva Q. Olivar-Floro, Dr. Camelia Faye R. Tuazon, Dr. Heirich Fevier P. Manalili, and Dr. Gladys Maxima M. Rayos, for representing the Department of Dermatology in the Interdepartmental Case Competition 2025.

Their case report, “Recalcitrant Chronic Bullous Disease of Childhood Successfully Treated with Colchicine in a 4-year-old Filipino Male,” was presented at the Odeum, Region 1 Medical Center, Dagupan City, Pangasinan, on September 25, 2025, where it was distinguished as one of the five finalists.

The Region 1 Medical Center – Department of Dermatology is honored to have been granted a 2-year Sustaining Accreditation Status by the Philippine Society of Venereologists, Inc. on September 11, 2025 at Crowne Plaza Manila, Ortigas Center.

Present at the event were the pillars of our Department: Dr. May F. Gonzales, Department Manager; Dr. Maria Aurora Teresa H. Rosario, Chairman for Training; Dr. Eunice Kaye M.
