SCHOOL-BASED FEEDING PROGRAM (SBFP) ORIENTATION
SY 2026–2027
The Schools Division of Siargao officially commenced the School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) Orientation for School Year 2026–2027 held at the Sports Complex Convention Center, Brgy. Osmeña, Dapa, Surigao del Norte.
The activity gathered School Heads, Principals, Administrative Officers (AOs), District Officers (DOs), and other program implementers to discuss the effective implementation of the SBFP for the incoming school year.
Key topics discussed during the orientation included:
✅ Review of the previous SBFP implementation and presentation of accomplishments, challenges encountered, and best practices before and after implementation
✅ Budget allocation for SBFP SY 2026–2027
✅ Allocation of beneficiaries per Central Kitchen, Satellite Schools, and Stand-Alone Kitchens
✅ Proper preparation and management of hot meals
✅ Target months and schedules for RO Milk Distribution
✅ Discussion on the SBFP Mother Guidelines/Implementation Guidelines and other important program updates
✅ Effective date of SBFP implementation starting June 15, 2026
The orientation also highlighted the importance of transparency, accountability, and efficient program management to ensure that nutritious meals and support services are properly delivered to our learners-beneficiaries.
We are also honored by the presence and valuable insights shared by our special speaker, COA Auditor Sir Jessriel Azarcon, who emphasized proper utilization of government funds and compliance with auditing and documentation requirements.
With the collective efforts and commitment of all stakeholders, we look forward to a more organized, effective, and successful implementation of the School-Based Feeding Program this SY 2026–2027.
