What happens if your placenta is too low?

When the placenta attaches low in the uterus and covers part or all of the cervix, it’s called placenta previa.

Possible effects:
• Vaginal bleeding (often painless, especially in the 2nd or 3rd trimester).
• Baby may need to be delivered by C-section if the placenta blocks the birth canal.
• Extra monitoring and rest may be advised.

✅ Many cases improve as the uterus grows, and the placenta “moves up” by itself.
