This year's theme is "Safe Care for Every Newborn and Every Child," with the slogan, "Patient Safety from the start!"

DJRMH is committed to safe care for every newborn and child, leading to positive outcomes that benefit them throughout their entire lives.

Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital received three (3) awards from the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation – PhilHealth Regional Office IX, Zamboanga City, during its 3rd Handog Pasasalamat with Stakeholders, held at Ariana Hotel, Dipolog City on September 16, 2025.

Among the hospitals and primary care facilities in the entire province of Zamboanga del Norte, DJRMH was the sole awardee of the enumerated 3 distinct recognitions as follows:

✅ eSOA Compliance Initiator Award
✅ No Balance Billing Compliance Award
✅Outstanding Health Facility Award

Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital proudly secured the overall 4th place out of 32 participating agencies in the recently concluded 16th Intergovernment Sportsfest Competition held on September 8–11, 2025, in Dipolog City.

The sportsfest, spearheaded by the Civil Service Commission, serves as a meaningful avenue to unite civil servants of Zamboanga del Norte through sportsmanship, camaraderie, and teamwork.

Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital's Outpatient Department joins the Handog ng Pangulo 2025 on September 13, 2025, 8AM-5PM, with provision of the following FREE services:
✅Medical Consultation
✅Animal Bite Services
✅Family Planning Services

Pre-scheduled patients will be accommodated in the morning, while walk-in patients will be catered to in the afternoon.

‼️DOH: PALAKASIN ANG PEER SUPPORT GROUPS KONTRA SUICIDE‼️

Inirerekomenda ng DOH ang pagsasapinal at patuloy na pagsuporta sa mga youth-led peer support group para matugunan ang lumalaking pangangailangan para sa mga programang may kinalaman sa mental health.

Kaugnay nito, inilunsad na sa 50 Provincial at City-Wide Health Systems (P/CWHS) ang paggamit ng DOH Peer Support Groups Playbook.

Kabilang sa playbook ang mga training para sa mga peer facilitators at mga educational materials para higit pang buksan sa kabataan ang usaping mental health.

Sa pamamagitan ng peer support groups, nagkakaroon ang kabataan ng ligtas na espasyo kung saan sila ay napapakinggan, nauunawaan, at nagiging bahagi ng isang inklusibo at pantay na komunidad (WHO, 2021).

Batay sa DOH National Assessment of the Mental Health Literacy of Filipinos (2024), 2 sa bawat 3 kabataang Pilipino ay handang humingi ng tulong—isang malinaw na palatandaan na bukas ang kabataan sa pag-uusap at pagtutulungan, lalo na para sa mga may pinagdadaanan.
