a beautiful story of love

Friends, imagine working so hard you barely have time to go to the toiletโ€”and still worrying about how to survive cancer.

This happened in China, inside a tight cluster of small food stalls. The man at the center of it was a well-liked 50-year-old vendor, known for opening early, closing late, and never cutting corners. Fellow sellers later said he worked nonstop, sometimes skipping basic breaks, just to keep his business alive. Then came the diagnosis. Cancer. Treatment costs he couldnโ€™t realistically afford.
He didnโ€™t ask for help.

But the people around him noticed.

Nearby food stall ownersโ€”his direct competitorsโ€”quietly agreed on something unusual. For one full day, they removed their own mobile payment QR codes and replaced them with his. Customers lined up as usual. Meals were ordered. Phones were scanned. And without realizing it, every payment went straight into the sick vendorโ€™s account.

The man had no idea. He only noticed later, when his phone kept lighting up with incoming payments. By the end of 24 hours, about US$2,900 had been raised. When he learned where the money came from, he reportedly broke down. Not because of charityโ€”but because it came from people who competed with him every single day.

In street markets like this, survival is daily. Work is relentless. Profit is uncertain. And yet, when illness struck one of their own, rivalry disappeared.

Sometimes community doesnโ€™t announce itself.
Sometimes it just shows upโ€”quietlyโ€”and pays the bill.

DIOS MABALOS PO FOUNDATION started as an organization responding to victims of calamities and disasters. As such DMPF has reached AKLAN , ILOILO, CAGAYAN DE ORO, MANILA, TUGUEGARAO, LAGUNA, ANTIQUE, ROMBLON, where warm bodies are needed to cook. to distribute, to feed, to provide clothing, shelter, solar lamps. purified water, to heal.

When there are no victims, we care for the sick and those in need of surgery. We care for the malnourished children , their malnourished moms and the lactating mothers. We care for children in their years to be weaned. We provide medicines for them ..both mother and child. We meet our co workers in schools community organizations and parishes. We work with the LGU.

We work with the Indigenous people in programs and projects identified by them.

We gather the elderly for eye screening and with co workers and partners we are able to provide surgery for cataract and pterygium .
