Ang Bicol Regional Hospital and Medical Center (BRHMC), sa pangunguna ni Dr. Eric Raymond N. Raborar, ay tutungo sa Masbate upang magsagawa ng Medical Response Deployment para sa mga nasalanta ng Bagyong Opong.

Si Department of Health–Bicol Regional Director Dr. Rosa Maria B. Rempillo ay nagbigay ng paggabay sa koordinasyon ng mga apektadong lugar ng probinsya, partikular sa kanilang mga pangangailangang medikal at pangkalusugan.

Ang BRHMC Medical Response Team ay binubuo ng Health Emergency and Disaster Management Unit (HEDMU), Surgery Department, Family Medicine, Nursing Department, Engineering and Facility Management, Central Supply Unit, iHOMP IT, Housekeeping, at Transportation.

Maghahatid sila ng serbisyong medikal para sa ating mga kababayan sa Masbate ngayong Setyembre 28.

𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐑𝐇𝐌𝐂 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 ✨

The Bicol Regional Hospital and Medical Center supported the Rotary Club of Legazpi Central in their Adopt-A-Barangay program by extending Medical Services to Brgy. Quitinday, Jovellar, Albay, last September 20, 2025.

The BRHMC Medical Mission Team, spearheaded by the Public Health Unit, in collaboration with the Family and Community Medicine and Medical Records Section, has served a total of 124 patients from the aforementioned barangay and surrounding areas.

The activity focuses on disease prevention and treatment through the provision of free medical consultations, as well as access to drugs and medicines, in line with BRHMC's commitment to creating Healthy Communities in Albay.

DOH Bicol certifies 27 new BLS and First Aid responders

Twenty seven (27) new Basic Life Support and Standard First Aid responders were equipped during a 4-day intensive training spearheaded by the Department of Health Bicol Center for Health Development through its Public Health Preparedness and Response Unit last September 16-19, 2025.

The training provided essential life-saving techniques including principles of emergency care, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), proper wound care, and emergency medical response methods for various types of environmental and human danger.

Expert trainers from the Health Emergency and Disaster Management Unit (HEDMU) of Bicol Regional Hospital and Medical Center (BRHMC), and the Regional Medical and Dental Unit (RMDU) of the Police Regional Office 5 (PRO 5) facilitated the activity in support to the Department’s aim of increasing community preparedness to emergency medical situations within and outside the workplace.

The activity pooled a diverse group of participants coming from the Rural Health Units of Daraga, Bacacay, and Tiwi, Provincial DOH Office (PDOHO) of Camarines Norte, DOH Bicol CHD, and members of the media from across the region.

Participants underwent a simulation covering a range of critical skills such as bandaging methods, first aid for trauma injuries and medical emergencies, as well as procedures for transporting the injured. This is to ensure that individuals who are often on the frontline of community emergencies are armed with the knowledge and skills needed to save lives.

This learning intervention does not only intend to guide participants in effectively responding to several life-threatening emergencies, but fulfills the Department’s nationwide goal of improving community resilience by having at least one (1) trained BLS in every family. (DOH5/MJCLB)

The Bicol Regional Hospital and Medical Center (BRHMC) joined the celebration of World Patient Safety Day on September 17, 2025, with the theme “Safe Care for Every Newborn and Every Child.”

A Hataw Dance Activity led by the BRHMC Code White Team highlighted the event, promoting health and patient safety awareness. Participants also received orange patient safety shirts, symbolizing the global commitment to safe healthcare.

The World Patient Safety Day is not only about raising awareness, but also about building a culture of care, unity, and compassion within the BRHMC community. 🧡
