"Akala ko dati, normal lang ‘yung may 'click' sa panga ko pag ngumunguya."

Pagod lang siguro. O baka dahil sa yelo at chicharon na favorite ko. Pero habang tumatagal, lumala—napapansin ko na sumasakit na ang ulo ko, ang leeg ko, at minsan pati tenga ko.

Hanggang sa hindi ko na kayang ngumiti o magsalita nang walang discomfort.

The TMJ appliance is not the same as dental night guard. Your dentist may fabricate night guard for you if you grind your teeth in order to protect your teeth.

If you have a TMJ disorder, locking, headache, facial,ear, or jaw pain, you need more than a night guard.

The base we fabricate to start the process of making TMJ appliance is similar to the nightguard your dentist will fabricate for you to protect your teeth.

But, that is only the base. We use that base to add acrylic and get impression of your opposing teeth in certain way to achieve specific contacts and prescribed vertical dimension.

The appliance will be made in special design to address the problem you have.

Then we spend a whole hour of fabricating that particular design and appliance for you.

I remember meeting one of our lovely patients a few months ago. Let’s call her Ate Grace.

She walked into PQD Dental with a shy smile, covering her mouth every time she laughed.
