Pregnant or breastfeeding women are recommended to receive rabies vaccine after a potential rabies exposure. Studies have found no increased risk for spontaneous abortions, premature births, or fetal abnormalities among pregnant women receiving the vaccine. It is safe and not contraindicated to the said population group.
