Today marks the final day of our team’s participation in the Integrated Essential Maternal and Newborn Care – Lactation Management Training (IEMNC–LMT), held from July 30 to August 1, 2025, at Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital, Tayuman, Manila.

This 3-day training is a vital step in meeting the Mother Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative (MBFHI) accreditation requirements of Dasmariñas City Medical Center — empowering our healthcare providers with the skills and knowledge to promote safe childbirth, proper newborn care, and breastfeeding support.

Dasmariñas City Medical Center joins the 2025 National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week! 💚

Held last July 30, 2025 (Wednesday), this celebration carried the theme: “Innovation for Inclusion: Building Inclusive Communities Together.”

Together with our partners from Winback Company, we showcased advanced rehab machines and gave our employees and patients an opportunity to experience new innovations in physical therapy firsthand — including TECAR, High Intensity Laser, and Radial Shockwave Therapy.

💬 We also heard inspiring messages from our very own Dr. Timothy Bugayong and other leaders in rehab care.

🚨 Gabay sa Leptospirosis: Alamin, Iwasan, Gamutin! 🚨

Ngayong tag-ulan, maging alerto at ligtas laban sa leptospirosis. Ito ay isang sakit na nakukuha mula sa ihi ng mga hayop (tulad ng daga) na may dalang bacteria na Leptospira, at maaaring pumasok sa katawan sa pamamagitan ng sugat o mucous membranes kapag lumusong sa baha.

🦠 Mga Sintomas:
• Lagnat
• Mapulang mata
• Masakit na tiyan, kalamnan, at ulo
• Hirap umihi

⚠️ Kapag napabayaan, maaaring mauwi sa kidney failure, pagdurugo ng baga, o kamatayan.

✅ Paano Maiiwasan:
• Iwasan ang paglangoy o paglusong sa baha
• Magsuot ng bota at gloves
• Panatilihing malinis ang bahay

💊 Alamin ang tamang prophylaxis gamit ang Doxycycline kung hindi maiiwasang lumusong sa baha.
