Assalamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu.

In line with AL-SABAR’s Naseeha Initiative, we are honored to present reminders rooted in faith and wisdom from our alumni, offered to inspire, guide, and uplift our barristers as they place their trust in Allah and strive with excellence for the 2025 Bar Examinations. These messages will be shared over the coming days, each one a beacon of encouragement on our barristers' journeys.

Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu.

To my beloved brothers and sisters, the Bar exams are fast approaching. This is the final challenge facing you after years of toiling and striving in law school. And as you always found a way to meet the challenges and rise in law school, I have full faith that you shall also meet the challenge and rise above this final challenge that is the Bar dragon. However, let me remind you that in facing the Bar exams, while we should exert all efforts to make sure we are prepared, we must not forget that we, alone, would not be enough to slay the Bar dragon. Ika nga, “do your best and let God do the rest”. We must not forget that all blessings are only made possible if the Almighty Allah grants it to us. We must not forget that we can only do so much and the rest would have to be granted by the Almighty Allah. So in your preparations, do not forget to pray. To give thanks. To ask for guidance. Because only with the blessings of Allah will we be able to vanquish the Bar dragon.

And also remember that in this journey, you are never alone. Behind you will be your friends, your family, your classmates, and most especially, the Al-Sabar.

So go forward with full confidence that you are ready for this. Go forward armed with your preparations and our prayers that the Almighty Allah will grant upon you His blessings.

A final word, “walang imposible sa taong naniniwala”. Maniwala sa sarili. Maniwala sa preparasyon. At higit sa lahat, maniwala sa Allah.

𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲

When we help autistic children, many people look only at what they see. This is the child’s behavior. We notice things like tantrums, not following directions, or moving around a lot. But there are many reasons under the surface that lead to these behaviors. These can include sensory needs, motor skills, emotions, how a child talks, thinking skills, and the environment.

A true whole child approach looks at both what is seen and what is not seen. We try to understand what the child needs. We ask why a certain behavior is happening. We work on helping the child feel safe, calm, and ready to learn.

As an occupational therapist, I believe that therapy should help with both what is visible and what is hidden. I have seen that children do best when we support both their behavior and their deeper needs.

If we focus on only one part, we miss the bigger picture. Both the behaviors we see and the needs we do not see must be managed together. Change happens when we respond to both. This is how we truly help children move forward in real and lasting ways.
