YMCA of Davao in synergy with Best 105 FM, Central Grace Missionary Baptist Church and other partner groups is organizing an “Ambagan” a help initiative bound for Albay, Isabela, and Cagayan Valley.

The Fund we raise will be used for YMCA lead initiatives for community recovery .This initiative is from the people of Mindanao to our brothers and sisters in Luzon.

We are calling on our local & international friends to donate and help. We are accepting cash and in-kind donations. Check this thread to see how you can help!

Accepting the Challenge of Service.

2020 is indeed not an ordinary year. But 2020 gave YMCA Davao a chance to meet young volunteers who took joy in learning, in service and being part of something bigger than themselves.

With their help YMCA of Davao provided disinfectants and sanitizers for free at the time when there was a shortage of alcohol in the city, the volunteers you see in the video responded selflessly in serving others, some had to walk and bike just to help. In our 176th Anniversary we take pride in honouring these brave volunteers who at their best lived up to the expectations of the Y.

Even with minimal access to internet and resource the Leadership of YMCA Davao and the volunteers came up with something that represents our heritage of service.

YMCA of Davao is united in serving the community together with the President, Board of Directors, staffs and volunteers we profess faith and pray to be more on this challenging times. Our communities is never alone as long as there is the Y.

YMCA Davao used old world challenge shirts; the Y of Davao agreed to donate hand sanitizers and disinfectants to city Jail and DOH RXI [NCov19 OpCen] for front liner use and for the quarantine facilities of Davao,the donation continues till this day.

Riders participation upon shooting was limited to comply with the current regulations of our city. YMCA Davao supports government programs to flatten the curve.

p.s. our team had trouble with the internet/data connection its raining heavily and parts of town is submerged in flood today, the team only had access to data available via our phones. we apologize for the delay but still from Davao City!
