A REMINDER

During my afternoon clinic, a consultation was almost done with a patient with metastatic breast cancer. We usually end our session with catching up on her daily routine.

This inspiring patient said to me that nowadays, she is grateful for all the love that the Lord generously shares with her.

That although she wishes to be cured, she understands that she is on borrowed time and that she will make the most of her life.

I know that not everything is easy and comfortable with her. Her treatment takes a toll on her and her body. Still, I can see the glitter in her eyes when she talks about God and how she wants to continue serving Him through church and her family. Her smile is sincere and encouraging. She inspires me. My patients inspire me.
