She is a beautiful young wife and mother. She came in very anxious and crying due to a suspicious breast mass. Lost her mom to breast cancer when she was a child.

Doc Jena performed Core Needle Biopsy under POCUS, Point Of Care UltraSound. Her biopsy came out benign. She requested biopsy slides review by another pathologist with same findings. Alis Bukol was done eventually, as ambulatory surgery meaning out-patient no hospital admission, local anesthesia, awake, with hidden scar.

"No cancer maam. Yehey. See you Jan 2027"

8 out 10 breast mass is benign, NOT CANCER. But the most important thing is not to ignore it. Get it checked out ASAP. If it turns out to be cancer, the EARLIER THE BETTER to treat.

What should you do if you notice a lump in your breast? Don’t panic. See your doctor.

“Many lumps turn out to be benign,” says Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center breast radiologist Kimberly N. Feigin, MD, Acting Chief of Breast Radiology at MSK. “But the most important thing is to not ignore it. Get it checked out.”

The earlier breast cancer is caught, the easier it is to treat.

What Can a Benign Breast Lump Feel Like?
Lumps that are benign (not cancer) may be tender and feel smooth and mobile. A cancerous lump is more likely to feel hard, but some non-cancerous lumps can feel hard, too.

Same-Day Mastectomy with Maam Jimma. Today is 1week followup visit with removal of Opsite wound dressing, removal of JP drain, and fitting of breast prosthesis Knitted Knocker. Wound is clean and pain is nil.

What is Same-Day Mastectomy? It refers to patients who undergo mastectomy with or without lymph node surgery and return to their homes in the same day. No hospital admission. This procedure is done under Peripheral Nerve Blocks as part of ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery) protocol.
