Can I Still Hear with a Damaged Eardrum?

Yes—some hearing loss is common with a perforated eardrum, but it may improve as the eardrum heals.
👂 ENT specialists may recommend:
🔹 Ear drops
🔹 Protective ear coverings
🔹 Surgery (in some cases)

How Can I Protect My Eardrums?

Your eardrums are delicate—protect them with simple habits:
✅ Don’t insert anything into your ears
✅ Avoid loud noises; wear ear protection
✅ Keep ears dry after swimming or bathing
✅ Consult an ENT Specialist for proper diagnosis and treatment

I Have Ear Discharge — What Should I Do?

Ear discharge (or otorrhea) may be a sign of:
🔸 Infection
🔸 Injury
🔸 Eardrum perforation

❗ Don’t self-medicate or use cotton swabs. See an ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Prompt medical attention can prevent hearing loss.
