HORKOS, the only 9-member team from BSN–4G and 4H, lived up to their name during their Emergency Medical Response Rotation.
HORKOS stands for precision, accountability, and unwavering teamwork because in emergency care, every second and every decision matters.

During their duty at Central 911 in Davao City, the group witnessed firsthand the intensity and coordination required in real-life emergencies. From call response to patient management, the experience strengthened their clinical judgment, composure under pressure, and commitment to saving lives.

Each member successfully completed Central 911 Training — strengthening their skills in emergency response, communication, and real-time critical thinking.

Under the supervision of 𝗠𝗮’𝗮𝗺 𝗔𝗺𝗶𝗲 𝗔𝗴𝘂𝗷𝗲𝘁𝗮𝘀, HORKOS continues to rise—sharpened by discipline, driven by purpose, and ready to respond when it matters most.

SUSPENSION OF CLASSES AND OFFICE TRANSACTIONS

In view of the inclement weather conditions and the suspension of classes announced by the City Government of Davao, all on-site classes and office transactions are suspended today, Friday, February 20, 2026.

Classes will proceed through the institution’s official online learning platform, either synchronously or asynchronously, as determined by the instructor. A work-from-home arrangement will also be implemented for all offices.

Everyone is advised to prioritize safety and take the necessary precautions.

𝐒𝐏𝐂-𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐳𝐳𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩

Three student nurses of the San Pedro College - School of Nursing shared a moment of victory after being hailed as champions in the Davao Colleges and Universities Network (DACUN) Siklab 2026 Interschool Academic and Cultural Competition at the Philippine Women’s College, held last February 15.

In a tight battle of brains against prodigies of different institutions in the city, 𝐄𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐬 (𝐁𝐒𝐍-𝟐), 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐨 (𝐁𝐒𝐍-𝟑), 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧 (𝐁𝐒𝐍-𝟒) topped the quiz bee, leading with 165 points.

Through the quiz bee, the team confidently answered questions on different academic areas aligned with the CHED curriculum for general education subjects, despite time limitations on preparing for the event.

“Dili jud mi nag-expect na ma-champion ta,” said Pangilinan.

Added Bayalas, “Tao tao ra gyud baya mi diri,” saying the team only answered according to the best of their knowledge.

Mirabueno asked for reconsideration and protested for answers that were deemed initially incorrect, which the board of judges accepted as correct for the sources the team presented.

The team was followed by Ateneo de Davao University as 1st runner-up, and Assumption College of Davao as 2nd runner-up.

It can be recalled that Bayalas, Mirabueno, and Pangilinan previously won the SPC Intramurals 2025 quiz bee championship.
