SOME DAYS I PAUSE AND REALIZE HOW GRATEFUL I AM THAT I GET TO WORK FROM HOME. 🤍✨
BUT…
I wasn’t always working from home.
I used to be a corpo girlie too.
Wake up early.
Prepare for work.
Travel.
Deal with traffic.
Wait for a ride.
Clock in.
Clock out.
Then do the exact same thing the next day.
And honestly?
There were days when I was already exhausted before my shift even started.
The traffic.
The commute.
The unpredictable weather.
The hours spent on the road.
By the time I got home, most of my energy was already gone.
Of course, there is nothing wrong with corporate work.
In fact, it taught me discipline, professionalism, and resilience.
BUT…
After experiencing both worlds, I realized something.
The biggest benefit of working from home isn’t the flexibility.
It’s the time.
The time I no longer spend sitting in traffic.
The time I get back for myself.
The time I get to spend with my family.
The time I get to witness milestones that I would have otherwise missed.
And now that I’m a mom, that realization hits differently.
Because every hour matters.
Every cuddle matters.
Every moment matters.
Working from home isn’t always easy.
But every time I remember where I came from, I’m reminded of how blessed I am to have this opportunity.
To earn.
To build a career.
And still be present for the people I love the most. 💻
