Sick With Flu? Know What to Do! 😷💊

Flu viruses can make you feel sick, from mild to severe. The flu is not the same as a cold. The flu typically strikes without warning. Flu patients frequently experience one or more of the following symptoms: a runny or stuffy nose, headaches, muscle or body aches, coughing, sore throat, fever, or feeling feverish or experiencing chills, and fatigue. Diarrhea and vomiting are common in certain persons.

Flu is more common in children because they have developing immune systems. Children's immune systems are still developing and are less equipped to fight off new infections compared to adults.

HEALTH ADVISORY | World Rabies Day: The time to act is NOW!

Every year on September 28, we celebrate World Rabies Day as a day to raise awareness about rabies prevention and reducing rabies transmission. This year’s theme, “Act Now: You, Me Community”, invites us to take individual and collective steps to stop the spread of dog-mediated rabies. These include responsible dog ownership, organising rabies education events, and participating in rabies vaccine campaigns.

What Does the Theme Mean?
You – Take action in your personal life: vaccinate your dog, educate yourself about how to prevent rabies and Pre- and Post-Exposure Prophylaxis, or advocate for better policies.
Me – Lead by example: inspire others, train professionals, or support rabies elimination efforts in your community.
Community – Work together: organize vaccination campaigns, educate learners and their families, and push for stronger rabies elimination programs.
Whether you are an individual, part of an organization, or a decision-maker, the time to act is today! Together with the Ateneo Grade School Clinic, we’re taking a stand this World Rabies Day 🐶🐱💙 Prevention is protection!
