OT TRAINING FOR TEACHERS

CANDEV's Occupational Therapists Teacher Mai and Teacher Renz presented strategies for special and regular classroom teachers working with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

They discussed behavior, behavior modification techniques, and classroom management through case presentations and lectures.

This is part of The Child and Adolescent Neurodevelopmental Intervention and Education Series (CANDIES) initiative of CANDEV-Brokenshire Medical Center's doctors and therapists to support parents, families, teachers and other professionals working with students with disabilities.

READING INTERVENTION TRAINING

Naghatag ug 3-day Basic Reading Intervention Training para sa mga bata nga nadiagnose ug reading disability (dyslexia), ADHD, autism, IDD, etc ang psychologist/special ed teacher/reading specialist sa CANDEV para sa mga reading/SNED coordinators ug admin sa San Roque District sa Davao City.

Gihisgutan ang pipila ka importante nga mga isyu, konsepto ug mga stratehiya na kinahanglan sa mga estudyante para mapahimuslan ang balaud nga nagasuporta sa inclusive education para sa mga estudyante sa SNED.

Tinalakay ang mga basic concepts katulad ng:
1. Informal testing
2. Intervention Planning
3. Reading Intervention gamit ang Structured Literacy
4. Paano ito magagamit sa kasalukuyang model sa San Roque District schools
