Impulse control…especially during this time of year.

A lot of times, we as occupational therapists, get questions about how to work on the skills that we support, especially in the business of the day-to-day. Here's one activity that we like for impulse control, because it's a fun game you can play anywhere. Here’s one super easy impulse control activity you can do anywhere:

Red Light, Green Light 🚦
1. Call out “Green Light” → kids move.
2. Call out “Red Light” → they must stop instantly.

It teaches kids to pause and think before acting, perfect for practicing impulse control in a fun way!
