Our Laboratory, Radiology and Nursing Services are CLOSED for today in observance of the National Heroes Day.

Today, we stand at the threshold of a milestone, a quarter of a century of healing, service, and compassion. Twenty-five years ago, on August 16, 2000, the groundbreaking of the Alexian Brothers Health and Wellness Center began with faith as its cornerstone and hope as its blueprint. A year later, on August 16, 2001, the doors opened, welcoming those in need of care, comfort, and dignity.

We owe this enduring legacy to the vision and courage of our founders: Brother John of God Oblina, CFA , and the late Brothers Maurice Wilson, CFA and Dominic Andes, CFA - who, inspired by the Charism of the Alexian Brothers, envisioned a sanctuary where healing would be more than a medical service; it would be a ministry of love. Their lives remind us that when hearts are moved by compassion, God’s work is made visible in the world.

To the countless employees who have served through the years, you are the heartbeat of this mission. Your dedication, often unseen but deeply felt, has carried the Alexian Spirit into every patient’s room, every smile, every act of kindness. To the doctors who became our Partners in mMnistry for these past 24 years, you have stood with us in the sacred work of restoring health and hope, blending skill with empathy in the service of life.

And to all who, in big ways and small, have supported this mission: benefactors, volunteers, friends, and families, you are part of this care woven over two and a half decades. Your faith in our mission is the wind that continues to move us forward.

The theme of our celebration, “Take me to the Alexian Brothers,” is not just a slogan, it is a prayer, a longing for a place where the sick are tended with compassion, the weary are welcomed with warmth, and every person is treated with dignity as a child of God.

As we look back with gratitude, we also look ahead with renewed purpose. May the next 25 years be marked by the same spirit that began it all - faith in God, love for our neighbor, and steadfast service to those most in need.

To God be the glory, to the Alexian Brothers be our deepest gratitude, and to all of you - thank you for being part of this journey of healing and hope.

Almighty Father, St. Alexius lived in faithfulness, poverty, anonymity, with great love and care for others. He was homeless and a beggar, and yet made the needs of the helpless more important than his own.

Through his life of prayer and penance, may we be challenged to embody that heroic contempt of the world, the spirit of humility, and evangelical poverty that he exemplified.

Through his prayer and intercession, may we be heard before Your presence. His great faith in Your infinite mercy, and providence inspire us to call to You.

We include the sick, the homeless, the marginated, the outcast and all who merit St. Alexius’ care and love. May his prayers move us to answer the call to service and kindness toward all who need help.

We ask these through the intercession of Our Lady and the infinite merits of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
