Iron deficiency anemia is common in children. But parents can help prevent this by providing a diet rich in iron containing food 🥩🥚🥬

To help you prevent iron deficiency, eat iron-rich foods like:
🥩meat
🥚eggs
🟢 legumes (like beans, lentils and chickpeas)
🥬 dark leafy greens
🥜nuts and seeds

As cases of diarrhea are increasing, let us be aware of some symptoms of dehydration in children:
- Dry lips and tongue
- Minimal to no tears
- Less playful
- Peeing little
- Dry skin

If your children are experiencing diarrhea and are having these symptoms, please go to your nearest hospital or consult with your doctor. Keep safe everyone 🙂

Research has found a 49% risk of expressive speech delay for each 30 minute increase in handheld screen time (e.g. cellphones, tablets). 📱🖥💻

Here is a guide on how much screen time is allowable for your child:
18 months or younger- No screens are still best. Exception is video chat with family and friends
18 months-2 years- Limit screen time and avoid solo use choosing high quality educational material.
2-5 years old- Limit screen time to an hour or 2 a day with supervision.
6 or older- Place consistent limits on the time spent and types of media.
