Ano ba ang obstruction? Bakit ito delikado?

Ang obstruction o pagbabara ng bituka ay delikado kasi kung mangolekta ang tae (Dahil hindi ito makalabas), pwedeng malason ang ating dugo at magkaroon ng infection o sepsis.

Ang sepsis ay pwede makapatay kasi kakalat na ang mga bacteria mula sa ating dumi papunta sa iba't ibang parte ng ating katawan gamit ang ating dugo.

Ang obstruction ay pwedeng mangyari kung mayroon bukol sa loob ng ating bituka na pinapasikip ang daanan ng pagkain/ dumi, o bukol sa labas ng ating bituka na iniipit ito.

Maari din magkaroon ng obstruciton kung may hernia, o mga peklat sa bituka (adhesions) dahil sa infection o lumang surgery.

Ano ba ang sintomas ng obstruction? Pwedeng magkaroon ng paglaki o pagbutod ng tiyan, pagsusuka, at biglang hindi na makautot o makatae.

Magpacheckup-up agad kung magkaroon ng mga sintomas ng obstruciton, para hindi pumutok ang bituka pag sobrang puno na.

"Doc, bakit kailangan ng JP drain pagkatapos ng ibang operasyon?"

Ano ba ang JP Drain? Ang Jackson-Pratt o JP Drain ay isang tubo na lumalabas sa may hiwa ng opera na tinatanggal pagkatapos ng ilang araw.

Ang JP Drain ay nandyan para higupin ang dugo o nana na pwedeng mangolekta sa loob ng hiwa ng opera, na pwedeng maging sanhi ng iba't ibang mga komplikasyon.

Depende sa Surgeon/ Siruhano niyo kung kailan tatanggalin ang JP drain, pero kadalasan tinatanggal ito pag wala nang lumalabas na tubig sa inyong JP drain.

Pag may mga katanungan, mas magandang kausapin nang mainam ang inyong Surgeon/ Siruhano pagkatapos ng inyong opera, para makakuha ng instructions kung paano alagaan ang inyong JP drain pag uwi sa bahay.

"Doc, ano ba ang Lusay?"

Ang Lusay ay isang "Lymph Node". Madami tayong lymph nodes sa ating katawan. May lymph nodes sa leeg, kili-kili, singit, at sa loob ng dibdib/tiyan.

Ang Lymph Nodes ay ang Headquarters ng mga "White Blood Cells". Ang White Blood Cells ang lumalaban ng mga infection sa ating katawan. Kinakain nila ang mga bacteria/ viruses na nakapasok sa ating dugo, at pumapatay din sila ng Cancer Cells.

Pag may infection malapit sa ating lymph nodes- For Example kung may Sore Throat ka, lumalaki ang iyong lymph nodes sa leeg kasi lababanan ng White Blood Cells mula dito ang infeciton sa ating Sore Throat.

Pag lampas na 2 weeks at malaki parin ang isang lymph node, maaring sign ito ng Cancer. Trabaho din ng Lymph Nodes labanan ang Cancer, pero minsan nakakapasok na ang Cancer sa ating lymph nodes, at kumakalat na ang Cancer dito.

Ipacheck agad sa surgeon ang mga lymph nodes kung lumalaki na sobra, at tumatagal na lampas 2 weeks, para ma-investigate ang abnormal lymph bodes.

Ano ba ang SCROFULA?

Ang Scrofula ay infection ng mga lymph nodes (Lusay) sa leeg. Nangyayari ito pag nagkaroon ng Tuberculosis bacteria sa ating leeg.

Ang Scrofula ay nagagamot pag napacheck-up nang maaga. Pag mayroon bukol sa leeg o pigsa na pabalik balik sa leeg na ayaw gumaling kahit na nakainom na ng antibiotics, magpacheck-up sa doktor kasi baka Tuberculosis o Scrofula na pala yan.

Hindi kailangan magkaroon ng ubo o lagnat para magkaroon ng Scrofula- may mga pasyente na may scrofula na walang TB sa kanilang baga.
