DDH Celebrates Pink October: A Day of Awareness, Faith, and Hope 💖
In celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Davao Doctors Hospital, through our cancer care advocacy program Ribbon of Hope, held a meaningful activity last October 25, 2025, at our Cancer Center.
This year's Pink October event was a powerful collaboration across our services, uniting our Mental Health and Psychosocial Services, Radiation Oncology, Nuclear Medicine, and Infusion Units. We came together to raise awareness, inspire hope, and celebrate the incredible strength of breast cancer warriors and survivors.
The afternoon was filled with moments that truly moved hearts and strengthened spirits: we formally launched the testimonial video "My Breast Cancer Story," featuring Ms. Sandra L. Sison from Breastfriends Davao as a beacon of courage; Pastor Michael Manubag delivered the inspirational talk "Anchored in Faith," encouraging everyone to find light through life's battles; and the day concluded with a therapeutic Expressive Art Therapy session, gently reminding participants that healing is also beautifully nurtured through creativity.
Through this event, DDH continues its advocacy for promoting awareness, faith, and compassion, nurturing not only the physical well-being of our patients but also their emotional and spiritual needs.
Together, we stand in pink for courage, faith, and hope.
