"Ora Serrata: The Threshold of Vision, The Beginning of Purpose" - a fitting theme for the White Coat & Pinning Ceremony of Mindanao Medical Foundation College's Doctor of Optometry program. As optometrist interns take on their white coats, they're not just donning a uniform - they're embracing a role that illuminates the path to clear vision and healthy eyes for their patients.
"The ora serrata, the serrated junction between the retina and the ciliary body, marks a critical boundary in the eye", said by Dr. Ivan Veloso.
Similarly, this ceremony marks a significant milestone for these interns, transitioning from students to professionals. Ptr. Jose Borneo's words, inspired by Matthew 6:22, remind us: "The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light". May these future optometrists shine brightly in their pursuit of vision care excellence.
As they embark on this journey, they're poised to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. With knowledge, skill, and compassion, they'll help patients see the world in a new light. Congratulations to the Doctor of Optometry interns on this momentous occasion! May your profession be a beacon of hope and clarity for those you serve.
