Ang maagang pagtuklas ng kanser sa pamamagitan ng regular na pagsusuri ay makapagliligtas ng buhay at makakapigil sa pagkalat ng sakit.

Para sa lung cancer, ang pagsusuri ay makakatulong upang matukoy ang sakit bago pa man magpakita ng mga sintomas, na nagbibigay ng mas mataas na tsansa para sa matagumpay na paggamot. Ang pagsusuri ay hindi lamang nagpoprotekta sa indibidwal, kundi nagtataguyod din sa mga pamilya at komunidad sa pamamagitan ng pagbabawas ng emosyonal at pinansyal na pasanin ng kanser sa huling yugto.

Alam mo bang may dalawang pangunahing uri ng lung cancer?

Ang Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) ay bumubuo ng halos 85% ng mga kaso at karaniwang mas mabagal ang paglaki at pagkalat. Sa kabilang banda, ang small cell lung cancer (SCLC) ay mas bihira ngunit madalas mas agresibo, mabilis na kumakalat sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng katawan.

Bawat uri ay nangangailangan ng specific treatment approach, tulad ng surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, targeted therapy, or immunotherapy.
