𝐃𝐄𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑 || 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐕𝐎𝐋𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐄𝐑 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐇

This December, we celebrate the Filipino spirit of 𝒃𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒉𝒂𝒏. It is a long-standing tradition of helping one another for the good of the community. From disaster response to everyday acts of service, volunteerism continues to unite people to build a more compassionate and resilient nation.

Over time, volunteerism has grown to involve all sectors in nation-building and service for development. To honor Filipino volunteers, 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 was declared National Volunteer Month through 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐨. 𝟓𝟓 (𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟖).

As we observe 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑽𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒆𝒓 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒉, let us recognize the power of collective action and the meaningful impact of every volunteer, big or small. And so, as volunteers of the 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒓𝒑𝒔., 𝒘𝒆 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒚, 𝒂𝒔 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒃𝒆.

This 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒎𝒂𝒔 𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒐𝒏 ❄️, the 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒓𝒑𝒔 shared a meaningful celebration with the 𝑪𝑨𝑺𝑨𝑴𝑨 𝑾𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒏 𝑺𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐 𝑩𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒈𝒂𝒏, 𝑩𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒚 𝑻𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒈. The program came alive with fun and interactive games for both adults and children, including friendly challenges, laughter-filled activities, raffle moments, and gift-givings that brought smiles to everyone, all prepared with love. We also shared a simple salo-salo with them. More than the games, gifts, and simple handaan, the day became a shared moment of 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆, 𝒋𝒐𝒚, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒐𝒑𝒆 with the community.
