A Day of Joy at Brgy. Ilang Child Development Center

One of the major projects of our Rotary Club of South Davao for Rotary Year 2025 to 2026 came to life today at the Brgy. Ilang Child Development Center. Led by our President Sonja Garcia, this initiative was planned in the middle of the year with a clear mission to rehabilitate the center and provide a safer and better learning environment for the children, including building a new roof.

Today, we marked a memorable milestone with our groundbreaking ceremony and our Christmas gift giving celebration. Together with the Rotaract Club of South Davao, we filled the day with laughter and excitement through lively parlor games, our symbolic groundbreaking, the distribution of Christmas gifts, and the all time favorite Jollibee meals that the toddlers enjoyed so much. Parents were delighted with the unexpected presents, and seeing the bright smiles of the children made every effort worthwhile.

This project reflects our commitment to uplift communities in meaningful ways. Through shared service and genuine compassion, we unite for good.

Christmas Party 2025 | Rotary Club of South Davao
December 3, 2025

A wonderful evening well spent with our Rotary family as we gathered at the dance studio to celebrate the season with purpose and gratitude. Living our theme “Unite for Good,” the night was filled with laughter, great food, fun games, and thoughtful gift-giving that truly captured the spirit of fellowship.

We also raised a special toast to our hardworking Secretary Cha, whose dedication keeps our club organized and moving forward.

It was a night of camaraderie, celebration, and reflection... the perfect way to close the year together as People of Action.

At Bistro Rosario, the Rotary Club of South Davao came together to review our activities, plan for upcoming elections, and get ready for our Christmas events and parties this December. Nothing beats sharing ideas over sizzling beef steaks and laughter!

Seeing Hope, Restoring Lives

Our Rotary Club of South Davao, together with our partners from Rotary Club of Bentleigh Moorabbin Central and Share Me A Dream Australia, continues its mission of bringing hope and restoring sight.

Free cataract operations for indigent senior citizens are more than just a program. They are a lifeline, giving our elders the gift of clearer vision and a better quality of life.

We are deeply grateful for the teamwork, dedication, and compassion that make each successful operation possible. Service Above Self, always.

AREA 2 TREE PLANTING

In the cool highlands of Marilog, we planted not just trees but commitment, hope, and a greener future for the communities we serve.

The Rotary Club of South Davao extends its heartfelt condolences to the family of our Past President Braulio Lim.

Last November 10, we visited his wake to offer prayers, pay our respects, and honor his life of service and friendship.

May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his family find comfort and strength during this time of loss.

He will always be remembered as part of our Rotary family.

The Rotary Club of South Davao extends its heartfelt condolences to President Elect Harold Abellana and his family on the passing of his beloved mother.

Last November 15, the club paid its respects and offered prayers, standing with Harold in this difficult time, honoring his mother’s life, and lifting the Abellana family in comfort and strength.

May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may Harold and his family find solace in God’s grace.

In moments like this, we are reminded that Rotary is more than service. It is family.
