OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON ALLEGED MPOX CASE
May 31, 2025

We issue this statement to address a false report circulating on social media alleging a confirmed Mpox (Monkeypox) case at Ospital ng Kabataan ng Dipolog, Inc., on May 31, 2025.

As of this date, there are NO confirmed Mpox cases at our facility.

We strongly urge the public to exercise caution when sharing health-related information, especially on the topic of Mpox. Please verify facts and rely solely on official and reliable sources before posting. By doing so, we can prevent the spread of misinformation and ensure the community remains calm and well-informed. Disseminating inaccurate reports online can cause undue fear and anxiety within the community.

We also remind everyone to continue following standard health protocols. Stay alert to any changes in your health, and if you experience any symptoms or have health concerns, please seek medical advice promptly.

OKDI Welcomes Associate Professor Evelyn A. Luna as Continuing Nurse Education Coordinator!

At Ospital ng Kabataan ng Dipolog, Inc., we believe that ongoing learning is key to delivering quality patient care. As part of this commitment, we are pleased to welcome Associate Professor Evelyn A. Luna as our Continuing Nurse Education Coordinator.

Assoc. Prof. Luna brings years of experience in nursing education, public health, and humanitarian work. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master in Nursing (MN) major in Public Health Nursing from Silliman University, as well as a Master of Public Health (MPH) from UP Manila.

Her career has taken her from working with Medical Ambassadors Philippines among indigenous communities to serving in international humanitarian missions in Africa and Southeast Asia. She also has a strong background in nursing education, having served as Dean of the Andres Bonifacio College School of Nursing for eight years and as a university lecturer in Indonesia.

With her knowledge and experience, Assoc. Prof. Luna will help strengthen the continuing education programs for our nursing staff, ensuring they stay updated with best practices in patient care.

We are glad to have her on board and look forward to her contributions. Join us in welcoming Assoc. Prof. Luna to OKDI!
