Evaporative type of Dry Eye is common nowadays. You may feel itchy and gritty. It could disturb you and be less efficient at work.

Have your eyes assessed so that proper eye lubricants will be recommended. Not all eye drops are suitable to all. Its not like “one size, fits all”.

Visit your eye doctor and request for a dry eye assessment.

This was the patient’s first thorough eye exam. Patient came in for check up because vision is very blurred. Her eye was splashed with hot cooking oil last year (March) and this year (March). And this prompted her to have her eyes checked. But patient could have some systemic or autoimmune issues as well, and must be referred to a Physician too for further diagnostic tests.

As an optometrist, when a patient comes in for a consult, a thorough case history should be done and comprehensive eye examination should be performed at all times so that proper management and referral could be made and in this case, can save a person’s sight.
