" Sige nako ug pa cleaning pero dli jod mawala ning P**a nga ga bitay sa ako gums. Dili man pod tanan ang p**a... naa lang jod tooth or teeth affected. Not painful, but monbleed sometimes and ma shy ko mo smile"

🦷Treatment :
Periodontal therapy. Generalized Deep scaling and root planing ; Prf rinses and Cgf membranes inside deep pockets with coronally advance stitches to improve gum shape and hopefully lessen recession.

Treatment Duration : 3months

Percentage of recurrence: 50% depends on the systemic changes of the patient's body , age, habits and oral health, compliance of the patient both clinical and homecare.

advised for monitoring, continuous evaluation and deep scaling.

I am greatful to Ultradent and Dental Domain for the opportunity to learn from one of their greatest clinician / speaker. I am thankful for Dr Foo You Han for updating us of the new trends and protocols in restorative dentistry. As clinicians, we Intentionally come into every seminar with a beginner’s mindset. As doctors we can appreciate the content of each speaker by being reminded of what we might have taken for granted and stay curious throughout. If I had convinced myself that I already knew everything, I would’ve missed the value of the speaker’s lecture. This reminded me of a lecturer friend who said, Emptying my cup is the first step of humility and the hows to become a good clinician.🦷🙏

1 year later, Surgery Recalibration done ✅ i had my first short surgery training way back in 2017 under University of the Philippines College of Dentistry followed by small private preceptorship programs in dental implants and dental periodontology within the country and abroad.
All these are challenging when done alone. To be honest i did not practice all these at once; that's why i choose to limit my surgical cases; and there are cases best managed by a team.

way back, group practices were only a thing of the big cities. For The longest time we only had single dental practice and to be honest it takes so much of our mental load, it bothers the way we want to enjoy our daily practice. It bothers our sleep and our peace.

Admittedly i tried to seek for shores in dentistry (aesthetics, restorative , biomimetic, surgery, tmjd, periodontology) somewhere my inner ikigai would effortlessly shine and reduce mental stress.

i Didn't had a goal department. i was jusy lazily moving; saying yes to every challenge. hoping ill find that motivating force at the intersection of what ill love, what could i be good at, what the world needs, and what i can be paid for.

So i thought the first step towards this process is to change my environment and Getting the right people on board within what i can carry.
alike Drs that are Patient centered, solution driven, responsive and supportive. This is the group that talk about solutions, naked truths of how to deliver a case. There's no room for ego, no wrong or right, No figures, no brands, no politics.

I am happy i found some colleagues across the islands under - The Dental Connections Surgery program. Its very comforting to share my difficulties and questions. It is also humbling to learn from their experiences.

i have not chosen my department of practice; but i will apply more what i learn , unlearn the past, engage /correct the present, and lastly ask for help. Asking for help is strength not a weakness. Share the mental load to have the right attitude. a healthy mind gives the right service.
Dentistry is service and service is an attitude.💕

📌note that the concern of the patient has lesser shades for improvement. We can make the yellowish undertone look brighter from Shade A3 to Shade A1

with this in mind, We proposed a Homecare kit for the patient to maintain a brighter undertone than before.

from Shade C1 to B2

📌note that the concern of the patient has lesser shades for improvement. We can make the grayish undertone look brighter from Dentin Shade C to B
but keeping the Enamel Shade at 1 or 2.

with this in mind, We proposed a Homecare kit for the patient to maintain a brighter undertone than before.

Conservative approach:
trauma case symptomatic with discoloration
Root Canal treatment
Sealed with MTA inside the canals
Bleached the canals and lingual of the tooth with Opalescence Endo from Ultradent
Sealed and restored the lingual surface with Forma Composite Resin from Ultradent

Treatment Duration : 4months

"bati kaayo pagKa pasta ang tunga sa ako 2 front teeth and mo dugo usahay ang gums, Wla siya na Tunga sa ako Face but Dili ko nahan mag pa Veneers.. Can you do something Minimally invasive conservative but an upgraded shape of my 2 fronts??????"

Gingivectomy (shaping of the gums )
1 and 1/2 month rest for the gums to heal
Restoration of the 2 Central Incisors
Used Pink composite to mask and shape properly the gums at the center.
